Caller ID.
On your wrist.
Phone in your pocket? Your watch already knows. Me shows a name and photo for every incoming call on Google Wear OS watches, buzzes differently for spam, and lets you answer, decline or send a quick reply, without touching your phone.

Every call identified, on your wrist
From that moment, names, photos and spam alerts appear right on your wrist, for every incoming call.
One glance, and you know who's calling.
The features you know from the phone, rebuilt for a round screen and a quick glance.
Instant glance
The caller's name and photo on your watch the moment it rings, even when the phone is in your pocket or another room.
Spam alert by haptics
A distinct vibration when a community-flagged number calls. One look and you know to ignore it.
Answer or decline
Take the call or decline it with one tap on the watch screen.
Quick message
In a meeting? Open the menu on the call screen and send a ready-made reply like I'll call you back, straight from the watch.
Silence it quietly
Turn the crown and the ringing stops, without declining the call and without anyone noticing.
In your language
The full interface in your language and in the right reading direction, in more than 30 languages. As it should be.
Every call has a face on the watch.
Identified, spam, quick reply or total silence. The round screen shows exactly what you need, and nothing more.
Spam? Your wrist feels it first.
When a community-flagged number calls, the watch buzzes differently and shows a red alert. You decide: silence it, decline it, or just keep going.
- A distinct vibration you feel immediately, no need to check the phone
- A red alert with the name and the reason it was flagged
- Silence or decline in one tap, no awkward moment
The moments your watch beats your phone.
When you can't, or just don't want to, pull out your phone, what matters is already on your wrist.
In a meeting
A quick glance at your wrist and you know whether this call is worth stepping out for, or spam you can silence without anyone noticing.
During a workout
The phone is in your bag or on the shelf. The name and photo are waiting on your wrist, and a quick reply saves the stop.
When the phone is far away
Phone charging in another room? Your watch is connected to it, so an important call is never missed even when it's not next to you.
Against scammers
The distinct spam-alert buzz stops you a moment before you answer a number the community already flagged.
Seven steps to caller ID on the watch.
Follow them in order. The last two are the difference between a watch that stays silent and one that shows you every caller.

Install Me on your Android phone
Me for Wear OS is a companion app. Install Me from Google Play on the phone and sign in before you touch the watch.
-
On the watch: Play Store, then Me
Press the power button to open the app list, tap Play Store, and install Me from the list of apps already on your phone or from a search.
-
Open Me on the watch
The first screen is See who's calling. From here Me walks you through the rest, one tap at a time.
-
Link the account
If the watch says Not linked, open Me on the phone with the watch nearby. There is no code to type and no separate login.
-
Allow notifications
This is what lets the incoming-call screen appear at all. On some watches a second tap follows.
Allow · Allow full screen -
Set as phone app
Me draws the call screen on this watch, instead of the built-in dialer. Without it there is no Me call face on your wrist.
Set as phone app -
Set as caller ID app
Identifies calls the watch gets on its own. It identifies only, Me never blocks a call. You can tap Not now and turn it on later.
Set as caller ID app
Not every Wear OS watch offers both settings. Where a watch does not offer one, Me does not ask for it, and the caller still appears inside Me on the watch.
It's not working. Start here.
Almost every case is one of these, and almost every fix is one tap on the watch.
The phone rings and the watch shows nothing.
WhyMe is not the watch's phone app yet, or notifications were never allowed.
FixOpen Me on the watch. It shows exactly what is still missing and grants it in one tap.
The watch says Not linked.
WhyThe watch has not found the Me app on the paired phone yet.
FixBring the phone close and open Me on it. The link completes on its own.
The watch says Open Me on your phone, and the phone is right here.
WhyThe phone is connected, but the Me app on it is not responding.
FixOpen Me on the phone once, then tap Retry on the watch.
The watch says Link expired.
WhyThe watch spent long enough away from the phone that the temporary access key the phone shared with it ran out.
FixBring the phone in range. The key renews the moment the two reconnect.
The watch says Watch unlinked.
WhyThis watch was unlinked from the Watch screen in Me on the phone.
FixOpen Me on the phone, go to the Watch screen and link it again.
Me does not appear in the watch's Play Store.
WhyThe watch has no Wi-Fi or mobile connection of its own, or it is signed in to a different Google account than the phone.
FixConnect the watch to Wi-Fi and check it uses the same Google account. You can also install from Google Play on the phone and choose the watch from the device list.
I see the caller inside the Me app, but no full-screen call on the watch.
WhyMe is not the watch's phone app, so the built-in dialer still draws the call screen.
FixThere is no screen for this in the watch's settings, and that is not a fault, it is how Wear OS hands this permission over. Open Me on the watch, scroll to Set as phone app and tap it. Android raises its own confirmation asking which app should be the phone app: choose Me and confirm. From then on the Me call screen opens full screen.
It stopped the moment I left the phone behind.
WhyWhat the watch shows for a call your phone receives comes from the phone. Out of range there is nothing to send it.
FixBring the phone back in range. The watch reconnects on its own and the Me call screen returns.
I tapped Not now on Set as caller ID app. Can I turn it on later?
WhyThat choice is remembered, so the setup screen does not ask a second time.
FixOpen Me on the watch. On watches that support it, Me offers Enable caller ID on the connection screen.
Me never asks me to set it as the watch's phone app.
WhyNot every Wear OS watch offers that setting to apps other than the one it shipped with.
FixNothing to fix. Where the setting is not on offer Me does not ask for it, and the caller still appears inside Me on the watch.
I refused notifications and the request does not come back.
WhyAndroid stops asking after a refusal.
FixOpen Me on the watch. The button now reads Open settings and takes you straight to the right screen.
Everything about Me on your watch
What do I need to get caller ID on my watch?
Three things: the Me app on your Android phone, signed in to your account; a Wear OS watch paired to that same phone; and the Me app installed on the watch itself. The phone is what identifies the call and the watch shows the result, so setting Me up on a watch alone is not possible.
How do I install Me on the watch itself?
Install Me on your phone from Google Play first. Then on the watch, press the power button to open the app list and open the Play Store. Me appears in the section that lists apps already installed on your phone, and one tap on install downloads the watch version. You can also search for Me in the watch's Play Store, or install it from Google Play on your phone and pick your watch from the device list. For the download itself the watch needs Wi-Fi or its own mobile connection.
How does the watch connect to Me on my phone?
Through the connection your watch and phone already have, the Bluetooth or Wi-Fi link Wear OS uses anyway. The watch looks for the Me app on the paired phone and shows that it is connected once it finds it. There is no separate login on the watch and no code to type: if the watch says it is not linked yet, open Me on the phone with the watch nearby and the link completes on its own.
Does it work when my phone isn't with me?
For identifying a number, yes, within clear limits. When the phone is out of range, a watch with its own internet connection runs the same Me identification itself, using a temporary access key the phone shared with it the last time they were connected. It is the same identification, not a reduced version of it. That key has an expiry and the watch shows you until when it is active; when the phone comes back in range it renews. Your contacts and recent calls still come from the phone.
Which watches does Me work on?
Watches running Wear OS. Me installs only on an actual watch, not on a phone or a tablet, and it needs Wear OS 3 or newer. The manufacturer does not matter: what counts is that the watch runs Wear OS and is paired to your Android phone.
What does the watch ask me to allow?
Two are required and one is not. Notifications, without them the call screen cannot appear at all, and on some watches a second approval for full screen follows. Then Set as phone app: this is what lets Me draw the call screen on the watch instead of the built-in dialer, and until it is granted the app waits. Set as caller ID app is the only one you can skip, it identifies calls the watch receives on its own, identification only and never blocking, and if you tap Not now the choice is remembered.
What does Me store on the watch?
Very little, on purpose. The watch app has no access to your contacts or your call log, it does not hold those permissions at all. What it keeps is what the phone sent it to display, plus a limited access key with an expiry date, used to identify numbers when the phone is far away. Your password and your permanent login are never shared with the watch. Unlinking the watch, or signing out on the phone, erases all of it.
I have an iPhone. Can I use this?
Not this app. Me for Wear OS is a companion to the Me app for Android, and Wear OS watches from version 3 onward do not pair with an iPhone at all, that is a limitation of Wear OS itself. There is no Me app for Apple Watch. On the iPhone itself Me works in full: caller ID, and SMS and MMS filtering.
How much does the watch app cost?
Nothing. Me caller ID is free and so is the watch app, there is no separate purchase for the watch. Me Pro is an optional subscription for advanced features on the phone.
Every call identified. From your pocket to your wrist.
Start with the free Me app for Android, and your Wear OS watch joins in.
