The Me app notifies you on your contacts' birthdays, automatically and for free, so you congratulate the people who matter on time. Like every alert in Me, birthday reminders are optional: switch them on or off in the notification settings whenever you like.

Put your mind at ease because you can easily cancel the feature notifications if you are not interested.

How birthday reminders work
Me reads the birthday saved on a contact's profile and sends you a real-time reminder on the day. It is one of several notification topics you can toggle individually, alongside alerts about who saved your number and who viewed your profile.
Make sure your friends get reminded about you
Your own birthday travels the same way: set it in the app under Menu > Edit Profile, and on the day itself your Me profile celebrates with a full-screen photo and confetti for everyone who opens it.
A birthday is missing?
If a contact's birthday never triggers a reminder, it simply is not saved yet: open their profile in Me, tap edit, add the date, and the reminder starts working from the next birthday on. Thirty seconds of typing now buys you years of being the friend who never forgets, without a calendar, a spreadsheet, or the yearly panic scroll through social media.
