Privacy first: distance, not position
What is shared is the range between you, not an address on a map. Only contacts you explicitly approved can see it, it appears just in the caller ID and on the contact's profile, and you can stop sharing with anyone at any time under Settings > Privacy settings > Manage shared distance.
Where you will see it
Once a contact approves, the distance shows during incoming and outgoing calls between you, and on their profile screen in the app. Best friend calling from two blocks away? Now you know to say "come over".
