The caller's name appears on the call screen in real time, before you answer.
Ask Siri, and Me identifies any number, from any screen, whenever you choose.
Spam SMS and MMS land in a separate folder. Your main inbox stays clean.
A double-tap on the back of your iPhone runs an instant lookup. No app to open.
Identified names appear in your iPhone's call log, alongside your contacts.

Type any number, see who it is instantly, then call them straight through WhatsApp, Viber, Telegram, or any other app you choose.
Assign Me's shortcut to the Action button. One press identifies the number in front of you, with no app to open and no menu to find.
When a call rings on your Apple Watch, the name Me identified appears right on the watch's incoming-call screen. Just like on iPhone, without reaching for your phone.
When a call rings while you're driving, CarPlay shows it on the car's display. With Me, the identified caller's name appears, big and clear, so you never take your eyes off the road.
Me identifies spam and robocalls, and flags them before you answer, with a database that updates around the clock.
Me automatically detects potential spam calls and warns you before you pick up.
Numbers you've already identified through the app stay identified automatically on every future call.
One swipe in the call log reports a nuisance caller. Every report protects everyone else, too.
Me filters SMS and MMS messages from unknown senders and keeps your main inbox clean. Two ways, your choice.
Set your keywords, and the filtering happens right on the device. Instant, no network.
If you'd like, Me detects spam automatically through its servers, without exposing any personal info about you.
Messages from your contacts are never filtered.
Caller ID is just the start. Me reaches the other corners of your iPhone where an unknown number is asking for an answer.
WhatsApp and Viber calls from non-contacts get a name too, once Live Caller ID is on.
Type a number into the dialer and instantly see who it belongs to.
Find out who saved your number, and the exact name they saved you as.
Caller ID and your call log appear on the car display too.
Quick number search right from the lock screen, without opening the app.
Copy a number from anywhere, and Me offers to identify it for you.
No, and no app can. Apple encrypts iMessage end-to-end, so no one, including Apple itself, can read or filter the content. That's a privacy choice by Apple, and we don't work around it. Me filters SMS and MMS messages, which is exactly where most spam comes through anyway.
Real-time caller ID, before you answer, requires iOS 18.2 or later. If your iPhone is on an earlier version, spam protection, SMS filtering, the dialer, and the rest still work.
No. The incoming number is encrypted on your device before it ever leaves. The server computes the answer on encrypted data and returns a result only your iPhone can decrypt. The server never sees the number or the result.
Before. When someone calls, Me checks who it is in a fraction of a second. The name appears on the call screen while the phone is still ringing. You decide whether to pick up, knowing exactly who it is.
No. The name appears on the iPhone's own call screen and goes straight into its call log. There is no separate app to open.
Open your iPhone Settings, go to Apps, choose Phone, then Call Blocking & Identification, and switch on the toggle next to Me. That's it. It takes less than a minute.
Me's caller ID is free for all our users, and it stays free for everyone who's already part of the Me community. In the future, the feature may become paid for new users, so whoever joins now keeps it free. (There's also a paid Me PRO that adds advanced capabilities.)
Yes. When your iPhone is connected to CarPlay, the identified name and your call log appear on the car display, too. You know who's calling without taking your hands off the wheel.
The iPhone only identifies numbers saved in your contacts. Me adds a layer of real-time identification for unknown numbers, spam flagging, and SMS filtering. All of it appears right inside the Phone app, alongside your own contacts. Learn how caller ID works.
It's a feature that shows you who saved your number in their contacts, and the exact name they saved you as. The list of names you're saved under stays private, and you can request a name change anytime.
Live Caller ID is a new Apple capability (from iOS 18.2) that lets you see the caller's name on the call screen in real time, before you even answer. Apple built it around advanced encryption: the lookup leaves your device encrypted, so no server (not even ours) sees which number you looked up. It was a particularly complex thing to build, joining instant identification with true privacy, and Me is among the first to fully support it. To enable: Settings › Apps › Phone › Call Blocking & Identification › turn on Me. Under a minute.
A new technology we developed at Me. An algorithm that detects suspicious number behavior, behind the scenes. Scammers and sales operations tend to buy fresh phone numbers in bulk, and instead of waiting for the community to report them, we identify their behavior pattern moments after the numbers are acquired and flag them as “Suspected Spam.” That gives you an immediate heads-up, before anyone has even had a chance to report. And once enough users confirm through reports that it really is fraud or spam, the number turns fully red. You're always a step ahead of unwanted callers.
A few quick things to check: make sure Me is switched on in your iPhone Settings, under Apps, Phone, Call Blocking & Identification. If it's on and you still see no identification, try turning your iPhone off and on again. That usually does it. And if it still doesn't work, our support team is here for you.
The Me Dialer is a smarter keypad inside the Me app. Type any number and you see who it is instantly, before the call even starts. Then choose how to reach them: a regular call, WhatsApp, Viber, or Telegram, straight from the dialer. Read more on the dedicated Me Dialer page.
Open the Me app and tap the keypad icon at the bottom. Start typing a number and the identification appears straight away, with quick buttons to call through WhatsApp, Viber, Telegram, or the regular phone line. Full walkthrough on the Me Dialer page.
A short, honest walkthrough for each capability. Open the one you need, follow the steps, and you're set.
